Samila Sound started with a simple vacation. Every year, Apple and I return to my hometown of Hatyai in Songkhla. One day, while walking along Samila Beach and visiting the famous Mermaid statue, I felt inspired to write a saxophone piece called “Samila.” That song was just the beginning.
Soon after, I started writing more music and exploring new saxophone techniques. I began attending saxophone events and workshops, where I met an incredible community of players, teachers, students, composers, repair experts, and fans — all brought together by a shared love for the saxophone.
Meeting these amazing saxophone people has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I realized how much the saxophone world keeps evolving, with so much to learn and share.
That’s why we created Samila Sound — a friendly space for saxophone lovers to discover sheet music, join our teaching courses, and explore helpful resources.
Come be part of the sound that started on a beach in Songkhla — now a movement connecting saxophone lovers around the world.
